"The villa is on the edge of Argeles village and has easy access to the road network to explore the area but it's only a short walk to the boulangerie for morning pastries or the train station if you want to leave the car and use the train to access Perpignan, Coulliere and beyond." Local 1 Euro BusesJust a 10 minute walk from Villa Failte, Argeles Village is the old part of Argeles Sur Mer. Traditional French buildings with coloured shutters, village squares, historic church, cafes, restuarants and shops (including of course la boulanger, la boucherie, le tabac, le poissonnier, etc).
A delightful place to spend time strolling the narrow streets and exploring all that the Village has to offer.
During the Summer months there are two street markets every week (Saturday and Wednesday) selling everything from local produce to clothes and traditional arts and crafts. Out-with Summer the market opens every Saturday only.
The Village has a traditional cinema (there is a modern multi-screen cinema in nearby Perpignan), post office, several banks, a mini-supermarket (there is a hypermarket 5 minutes drive from Villa Failte) ... even a pizza takeaway !
The local train station is situated in the Village.
There is a "1 Euro bus" stop right in the centre.
There are also stops for "le petit train", the tourist bus that serves Argeles Sur Mer.
