For 1 Euro you can travel virtually anywhere within the Pyrenees - Orientales region by bus. There are 2 bus stops at Argeles Village (10-15 minute walk from Villa Failte), Argeles Port and Argeles Beaches. The website, which is in French, shows routes and allows you to plan journeys by date.
Perpignan is the hub.
The two routes that go through Argeles Village are :
400 (Perpignan to Cerbere via Elne, Argeles Sur Mer, Collioure, Port Vendres, Banyuls) and
401 (Ceret to Argeleles Sur Mer via Maureillas, Le Boulou, Montesquieu des Alberes, Villelongue dels Monts, Saint Genis des Fontaines, Laroque des Alberes, Sorede, Saint Andre, Palau del Vidre)
Both of these go via Argeles Plage (beach) and the latest timetables are below.
Timetables can be obtained at the website below or via the Argeles Sur Mer tourist offices. On the Driving / Walking Directions page of this website we have attached a PDF of google maps (from Villa Failte to the two nearby bus stops).
In 2015 a similar 1 Euro scheme was introduced for train journeys.
